Description

The Lead Carpenter is an essential part of our growing production team. This dynamic individual is a supervisor and craftsman with extensive skill and experience managing job sites with multiple employees and/or trade contractors. This individual serves as the primary daily contact for our customers and is responsible for ensuring Heritage’s high level of standards are consistently met, by the entire site team, while delivering exceptional work and customer service. Managing and/or performing all carpentry labor and construction on the job site is also a daily responsibility. This person will also maintain a job-specific binder to ensure that schedules and budgeting targets are met while pro-actively communicating with the rest of the Heritage team (especially the Project Manager) and client.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage remodel projects, employees, and trades
  • Communicate daily with our customers and maintain a good relationship
  • Perform tasks in all areas and aspects of construction projects
  • Perform quality work at all times
  • Complete projects on budget and on schedule while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager daily
  • Able to lay out, measure, plan, and execute work activities
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills and daily planning
  • Manage a field project binder and schedule
  • Communicate with all members of the Heritage team
  • Work with little supervision while following all health and safety standards

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of a variety of power and hand tools
  • Possess a high level of professionalism in interacting with clients
  • Ability to track time and work activities through an electronic tracking system
  • Ability to use Smart phone or tablet for schedules and task list updating
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to maintain a positive and can-do attitude
  • Preferably 5+ years of leadership and carpentry experience
  • Experience in framing, finish, and trim for interior and exterior trim desired
  • Ability to follow and practice safety protocols
  • Must have reliable transportation

Position Pay Information

Full Time (40 hours)
$30 – $40 / Hour
