This project consisted of transforming a very small kitchen in a large home to a space more suited for a home of this size. By expanding some and opening the wall to the family room along with utilizing every available wall space we were able to complete such a task. This older midtown Memphis home has great charm with warm tones and in collaboration with the owners we were able to maintain that charm and add some new elements as well to expand on that style. The new design is much more functional for their style of living allowing room now for these empty nesters to entertain friends but also their family when their children come home to visit. This project included repurposing some of the original cabinetry and adding some new to accomplish the overall design and keep on budget. Working closely with owners to create a true vision for the project, we were able to find opportunities to meet their needs and make the space functional, and at the same time keep that great character and charm they already loved.
