This project grew from the client’s desire for an outdoor space where they could relax after a hard day or entertain friends and family. A screened porch is a necessity in the area we live in if you want to spend time outdoors. For this home the obvious location for the addition was off the family room where the new design was created. The approach was to create a structure that blended in seamlessly to the home so matching the paint color and roof were critical. The natural wood ceiling and earth toned stained concrete brings a texture and element from the outdoors into the space to enhance that outdoor feel and add character and interest to the interior. The patio extension was also part of the project and has the same finish as the slab for a seamless and fluid transition to the outdoors.
