Traditional, Wooden Masterpiece

This whole-home renovation started with a dark, outdated one-level home with an atrium at the center. The client wanted to brighten up the home, get rid of the atrium, and bring the interior up to current designs and finishes. We started by adding smoothed ceilings throughout, all new painting, new wood flooring in all main living areas, and carpeting in the bedrooms. We created a covered front porch with cedar post and beams to bring character to the front of the house, as well as also a provide a place for their guests to get out into the elements. We put in new front doors and a completely new kitchen, and also remodeled all of their bathrooms. The atrium was enclosed by adding a raised roof to accommodate clerestory windows to let in natural lighting. This raised roof also added new character to the exterior of the home. Finally, we used cedar posts and beams to support the new structure and to bring a warm and natural feel to the wide open space while creating a comfortable, relaxing environment in the main living area. Kitchen: In the kitchen, the client wanted to bring in a farmhouse feel. To start the complete kitchen remodel, we opened a wall up to the sunken sunroom, new semi-custom cabinets by Omega Cabinetry, Cambria counter tops, subway tile backsplash, new wood flooring, and new GE Appliances. We also added cedar beams to bring a touch of nature and warmth to the white finishes. We finished it off with recessed lighting, pendant lighting, under cabinet lighting, smooth ceilings, and fresh paint. Master Bath: We completely remodeled the master bath, still keeping with the farmhouse style. We opened up the space by removing walls and add lighting to brighten up the room. We added new semi-custom cabinets by Omega Cabinetry, marble countertops, and marble for the flooring and the shower. We also installed a free-standing tub, a larger shower with a seat and multiple shower heads with a wand, and a frameless glass shower enclosure. Finally, we added recessed lighting, framed mirrors, and ventilation for humidity.
